To support the Region / Installation Commander in making operations throughout the installation easier, better, faster, cheaper and to provide external affairs support to develop regional partnerships and engagement. This mission is accomplished through two departments: Business Performance and Government and External Affairs.

BUSINESS Performance

G-7 seeks to maximize the performance of organizations aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico by aligning current processes to desired performance goals with innovative technologies, business strategies, and information management tools.

This is accomplished through:

1. Continual Process Improvement (CPI) and Lean Six Sigma

  • Training: This is an area resource to enable Breakthrough and Continuous Process Improvement, Business Transformation, and Change Management training that focuses on educating the individual as well as the command.

GOVERNMENT AND External Affairs (GEA)

Government and External Affairs is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a range of influential individuals and organizations for Marine Corps Base Quantico and surrounding areas. This is accomplished through the development, and maintenance of policies and programs that relate to external affairs strategic mission as well as ensure that activities are responsive to stakeholder interests in accordance with base procedures.

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) is a critical component of the pursuit of business excellence and the foundation of all major quality frameworks.

Through the use of CPI, we align organizational processes with their strategic objectives by:

  • Analyzing processes using DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Reducing lead and process times throughout the organization.
  • Increasing employee engagement and morale among employees.
  • Reducing staff turnover.
  • Increasing productivity and process efficiency through the use of the DMAIC framework and Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Producing higher quality products by making processes easier, better, faster, cheaper.

Our Yellow Belt course provides awareness of Continuous Process Improvement combined with Lean Six Sigma concepts that are proven to improve an organization’s workplace by identifying waste and non-value added tasks. In addition, this course will prepare employees to participate on process improvement events and projects, reducing the time needed to get team members up to speed.

Yellow Belt Online Class
In order for us to provide you access to our online Yellow Belt Course, you will need to register an account with MilSuite.

Provided below are steps required to register for our Yellow Belt training via MilSuite:

  1. Register for an account on our MilSuite Yellow Belt Course

  2. Click "I Agree"

  3. Select Sign-In Options.

  4. Select Use Another Account.

  5. Combine the values of the “Persona User Name” and the “Tenant Email Domain” fields and use that combination as the email address on the Sign in screen. ***Note: this information will be found on the GFUD Website*** For additional guidance click HERE.

  6. MilSuite will create your account on first login. ***Note: you may need to click on the link twice to be routed to our yellow belt course page***

  7. On our Yellow Belt course page, click "Take This Course" link

  8. You will be redirected to our Yellow Belt Registration Form. Complete the form and submit.

***Once you have registered with MilSuite and completed our registration form, we will add you to the class roster and provide you access to the training via email.***

Our Green Belt (5-day course) expands upon the Continuous Process Improvement combined with Lean Six Sigma concepts from Yellow Belt training which are proven to improve organization, quality, and efficiency, while reducing cost and time spent performing tasks in office and production environments. This course will prepare employees to facilitate process improvement events and projects utilizing the DMAIC problem-solving framework.

USMC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Mentoring and Certification is available for students after successful completion of this course. There is no training fee associated with the course.

To ensure that all qualified NFE's (non-Federal person or organization, established, operated, and controlled by any individual(s) acting outside the scope of any official capacity as officers, employees, or agents of the Federal Government) operate securely and safely on Marine Corps Base Quantico within the rules and regulations of the installation commander or higher authority.
