THE BRIEFS ARE LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS AND NOT OPEN TO DoD CAC HOLDERS. ONE CLASS WILL BE HELD AT 0900 ON THE LAST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH STARTING JUNE 26TH 2020.

ALL OIC’S AND RSO’S WILL BE REQUIRED TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF VERSIONS FROM THIS SITE. PRINTED COPIES OR ELECTRONIC VERSIONS ON PERSONAL DEVICES ARE ACCEPTABLE AND MUST BE SHOWN AT TIME OF CHECKOUT.

    All Marine Corps Range OIC's and Range Safety Officers (RSO's) must comply with this message. This is a strong recommendation and best policy practice for all others.

  • DEADLINE SAFETY OF USE MESSAGE FOR THE M2A1, TAMCN E01237M, IDN 12142A, NSN 1005-01-511-1250 UPDATE: Directs new procedures for the live-fire of the M2A1 .50 caliber machine gun that supersedes all previous guidance message. All Marine Corps units must ensure their M2A1 Machine Guns are listed on the approved serial number roster here  message. All non-Marine Corps units are encouraged to read and ensure their M2A1’s are not affected..

  • ALL OIC'S AND RSO'S: THE SIGN OUT SHEET AND HOT BRIEF HAVE BEEN UPDATED. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF THE HOT BRIEF.

  • SMAW MOD-0 DSOUM UPDATE: The MK153 SMAW MOD-0 is returned to use as long as the restrictions in the DSOUM are followed. Message

  • SMAW MOD-2 DSOUM UPDATE: The MK153 SMAW MOD-2 remains in a deadline status for all live fire training but may be used for non-live fire training as indicated in the DSOUM. Message

 

MCB Quantico Ranges and Training Area

With over 50,000 acres of training area, over 40 separate live fire ranges and training facilities, and Special Use Airspace up to 15,000 feet; Marine Corps Base Quantico offers the only DoD live fire range complex in the National Capital Region.  This complex can support the full scope of military and law enforcement training from small arms familiarization all the way to combined arms exercises including the delivery of live close air support fires.  Just 36 miles south of Washington, DC, Quantico routinely supports the training needs of numerous federal agencies, as well as units and organizations from all DoD components."
