MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO Va. -- The Quantico Middle/High School Lady Warriors fought to uphold their winning streak against Stafford’s Grace Preparatory School Warriors during a best of five matches aboard Quantico on Oct. 8. 2013.
The Lady Warriors took the court and prepared to defend their winning streak, while the Grace Prep Warriors exhibits an obvious determination to finally beat the Quantico team.
“Quantico is the only team we played this year that we have not beaten,” said Kristen Sadlier, head coach, Grace Preparatory School Warriors.
Although, the Grace Prep Warriors lost the first game 23-25, they provided the Lady Warriors with more than they bargained for.
“They have progressively gotten better through the year,” said Missy, team captain, Lady Warriors.
The Lady Warriors picked up the pace from the first round and won the second round 25-9.
“We could have done a lot better, but a win is still a win.” said Robert Hume, Lady Warriors’ head coach.
With a repeated victory for the Quantico team, the game was ended 3-0. Grace Prep lost the game, but provided the Quantico team with more than they bargained for.
“They will definitely be a force to be reckoned with next year,” said Hume.
