Military police and civilian law enforcement officers with Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, check the identification of people who enter the base from the Virginia Railway Express station in the Town of Quantico. Security Battalion Marines routinely conduct random ID checks on people who ride the VRE trains and access the base through the Town of Quantico. In an effort to increase the security of the base and the safety of the people who work aboard the base, Security Battalion Marines maintain increased awareness at base access points.
