Retired U.S. Ambassador, Ryan Crocker, the ambassador to the U.S. Mission in Beirut at the time of the bombing, addresses attendees of the dedication and naming ceremony for McMaugh Hall on Marine Corps Base Quantico, April 18, 2023. This ceremony marks the 40th anniversary of the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, in which U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Robert V. McMaugh was killed in the explosion.
