Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) uses the triage sytem to tag the four simulated Marine casualties. Red (Priority 1) is classified as serious, but a salvageable life threatening injury This includes victims with life-threatening injuries such as severe head injuries, burns, external/internal bleeding, heart attack, breathing-impairment or internal injuries. Yellow (Priority) is classified as moderate to serious injury or not immediately life-threatening. Victims have potentially serious injuries such as fractures. Green (Priority 3) Are classified as the walking-wounded or victims who do not appear seriously injured, which usually means delayed treatment/transportation Black is classified as deceased. Within this Full-Scale Exercise there were no black tags.
