Media engagement
The Engagement Support Section supports MCINCR-MCB Quantico and its tenant commands primarily through the development and management of internal and external information and community engagement.
Our Digital Engagement Team produces new and unique content specific to Quantico and its role as the Crossroads of the Marine Corps. Articles, photos, videos, graphics and multimedia presentations tell the story of MCINCR-MCB Quantico and are shared on the command website, various social media sites, and archived through the Defense Visual Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS).
We keep the community informed of key events and the many stories here through very active social media engagement. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are constantly highlighting and sharing information and images with our local and extended audiences.
MCINCR-MCB Quantico plays a role in the National Capital Region. As a result, local, national, and international media visit and report on activities and news here. The Engagement Support Section serves as the initial coordinating point for many of these engagements and supports tenant commands as needed.
MCINCR-MCB Quantico Engagement also provides oversight and web development for more than 100 web pages.
Community Relations (ComRel) is a critical capability within CommStrat section. The ComRel team provides weekly noise advisories, often represents the base at events in Northern Virginia, and assists the base volunteer program that has more than 1,200 participants.
