Lt. Gen. Michael Rocco, deputy commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs joined Marines from Security Battalion, LCpl Bryce W. Allen (left) and LCpl Brandon L. White (right) Aug. 31 at the main gate to wish a happy and safe Labor Day weekend to service members and civilians entering the base. They took the opportunity to hand out resource information related to September's National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. - Lt. Gen. Marines who particpated in the pugil sticks event, did so in honor of Lt. Weeden Osborne. Osborne was appointed a dental surgeon before being assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. He was decorated posthumously with the Medal of Honor after his unit participated in an advance during the Battle of Belleau Wood.
