The Civilian Length of Service and Civilians of the Quarter Award Ceremonies were held at The Clubs at Quantico Oct. 22. Base commander Col. Joseph Murray, recognized Kathie Publicover, 35 years of service, June Flowers, 25 years of service, Valerie Gaskin, 20 years of service, Timothy Foltz, 5 years of service, Kathy Dodson, 25 years of service, Tanya Alexander, 10 years of service, Susan Perry, 15 years of service, Monica Tait, 20 years of service, Allan Mitchell, Junior Civilian of the Quarter, Stephanie Thomas, 15 years of service, Monica Curley, 15 years of service, and Kimberly Gale, 15 years of service, with the help of base sergeant major, Sgt. Maj. Gerald Saunders Jr., Brian Ventura was awarded Senior Civilian of the Quarter, although he was unable to attend the ceremony. Each year civilians impact the success of military operations. The Civilian Length of Service Award recognizes dedicated civilians aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. A senior and junior civilian of the quarter is recognized by a board of senior Quantico staff members for their immeasurable impact on base. The ceremony for fourth quarter awardees is scheduled for December, where the civilian of the year will be recognized in addition to the quarterly winner.
