Teams of 10 went head-to-head in a tug-of-war competition in a giant mud pit adjacent to Butler Stadium during the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society field meet in March. The event benefited the Relief Society, which supports sailors and Marines experiencing financial difficulties due to deployments, family emergencies and other hardships associated with military life.

Gary Sprifke, Capitol Police commander hazardous material team in Washington D.C., is the subject matter expert for Security Battalion’s monthly professional military education. First responders aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico gathered to hear him speak about response to hazardous emergencies. The monthly Professional Military Educational goes right in line with preparing base security teams for future operations.
