Earlier this week Public Works took the Thomason Park water tower out of service for preventive maintenance cleaning.

As a result of this tower being by-passed in the system there was sediment disturbed in the water lines. This sediment can create discolored water.

The water has been tested along the distribution system to confirm it is safe and the test results came back well within the required EPA limits.

Therefore, if your water is discolored, please allow you faucet to run for a number of minutes to help clear the sediment out of the lines.
