The Marine Corps Marathon has sold all discounted entries made available to active duty and Reserve members of the military. The special discount offer began Monday.

Of those who have registered to run the 40th MCM on Sunday, Oct. 25, there are 2,018 serving on active duty and 482 Reservists including 1,833 men and 667 women. The runners range in age from 19 to 60, hail from all 50 states and include several military members stationed overseas. There are also 846 first-time marathoners and 1,394 soon to run their first MCM.

The 40th MCM will be held in Arlington and throughout the nation’s capital.

Military members who missed out on the discounted entries still can register on March 11 to run the Marine Corps 17.75K, which offers finishers guaranteed entry to the 40th MCM. The event will be held in Prince William County, VA on Saturday, March 28. Registration for the Marine Corps 17.75K, with unique distance that honors the founding of the Marine Corps, will open at www.marinemarathon.com.

Military members also can register as the MCM Lottery opens to the public on Friday, March 13 at www.marinemarathon.com. The Lottery will be open for 10 days, through Monday, March 23. Runners who obtain entry through the MCM Lottery will be notified by email starting March 25.

In addition, anyone interested in participating in the 40th MCM can register through the MCM Charity Partners. The MCM Charity Partners will begin filling their marathon rosters April 1.
