There’s nothing like the smell of motivation in the morning

More than 60 Marines, who are part of Headquarters Co., Headquarters and Service Battalion, gave everything they had, including their blood, sweat and tears, as they completed the Endurance Course at Officer Candidates School during Headquarters Co.’s physical training event April 24, 2013.

The Marines jumped off, swam through, climbed over and low crawled under multiple obstacles during the more than two-mile course. After finishing the Endurance Course, the Marines rounded out the morning with a crunches competition.

"The Marines of Headquarters Co. are reminded again why they joined the Corps,” said Capt. Joseph Hardin, executive officer, Headquarters Co. “This was a motivation-battery recharge.  The Endurance Course at Officer Candidates School is no walk in the park, but the Marines met the challenge and each finished strong with his head held high.  This event has been the talk of the week at every section.  The Company Staff would like to thank OCS, especially Master Sgt. George Brown operations chief, OCS, for allowing us to use their course."
