Quantico’s Welcome Aboard Brief and Fair provides insight, information about the base

As a fresh new crop of Marines, sail­ors, airmen and civilians travel through the gates of Marine Corps Base Quantico, Col. Joseph Murray, Marine Corps Instal­lations National Capital Region - Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCI-NCR MCBQ) commander and Sgt. Maj. Charles Wil­liams, MCINCR-MCBQ sergeant major, welcomed newcomers to the base May 15 at The Clubs at Quantico (TCAQ).

The bi-monthly Welcome Aboard Brief and Fair is held to inform newcomers to the base about services offered and to familiarize them with the surrounding community.

Representatives from programs sup­porting the base participated including education, family services, recreation, law enforcement, medical services and more. They set up displays and talked to newcomers at TCAQ to help new service members and their families become accli­mated to their new duty station.

Anyone is invited to the Welcome Aboard Brief, including those that just want more information on what the base has to offer. Future briefs will be held at TCAQ, 3017 Russell Rd. from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on:
