Lieutenant Colonel Edick is a native of Enka-Candler, North Carolina. Immediately following graduation from Western
Carolina University, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in May 2005 where he attended recruit training at
Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Following graduation, he attended the School of Infantry,
Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, NC. He then received orders to Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL to attend
Avionics Warfare School. Upon completion, he was assigned F/A-18s and sent to a follow on Avionics Warfare Specialist
school dedicated to the F/A-18 platform (O-Level). After completing this school, he received orders to VMFA-212 aboard
Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. In February 2007, Corporal Edick was selected to attend Officer Candidate
School through the Enlisted Commissioning Program.
In September 2007, Corporal Edick reported to Officer Candidate School aboard MCB Quantico, VA and commissioned as
a Second Lieutenant on 30 November 2007. He then immediately reported to The Basic School. In 2008, he completed The
Basic School and was assigned the military occupational specialty of military police officer. He completed the Military Police Basic Officer Leader Course aboard Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and was ordered to report to Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA where he served as a platoon commander.
Shortly after arriving to Security Battalion, Second Lieutenant Edick was selected for an individual augment billet to
support OIF 9.1/9.2 and served as a rifle platoon commander for India Company, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marines during a
combat deployment to Iraq. While in Iraq, he was promoted to First Lieutenant. At the completion of that deployment, he cross-decked to Afghanistan to support OEF 10.1 and served as the Officer in Charge of the Afghanistan Uniform Police Academy held at Camp Leatherneck. Upon his return to Security Battalion, he served as the Battalion Operations Officer and was promoted to captain in 2011. In 2012, he was selected for Presidential Security Duties at Marine Helicopter Squadron One in Quantico, VA.
While at Marine Helicopter Squadron One, Captain Edick served as the Military Police Company Executive Officer and
Operations Officer. In 2014, he was then ordered to report to Headquarters and Service Battalion, Quantico, VA to serve as the Battalion Operations Officer. He was then selected on the Commandant's Career Level Education Board and attended Military Police Captain's Career Course (MPCCC) in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. After completion of MPCCC, he was
ordered to report to the Provost Marshal's Office, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC.
During that assignment, Captain Edick served as the Deputy Provost Marshal for MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris
Island. He was promoted to Major in October 2017. Major Edick was then selected on the Commandant's Professional
Intermediate-Level Education Board and attended Command & Staff College in Quantico, VA earning his Masters in
Military Studies and Leadership. After completion of Command & Staff College, he reported to III Marine Expeditionary
Force, Okinawa, Japan as the Force Protection Officer. After the COVID-19 pandemic began, while maintaining his force
protection responsibilities, Major Edick was assigned as the Commander of the Joint COVID-19 Response Center and Task
Force SAFEGUARD, leading the response to combat the outbreak and safeguard SOFA personnel, as well as assisting the
local government with protecting the local national community. In July 2023, Major Edick transitioned to serve as the
Marine Corps Installations Pacific Provost Marshal. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in September 2023. In
September 2023, he was selected and attended Session 288 of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
Upon graduating in December 2023, he returned to Japan. In July 2024, he reported to MCAS Beaufort to serve as the
Provost Marshal for MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island. In June 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Edick reported to
Security Battalion, MCB Quantico, VA where he serves as the Commanding Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Edick's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with four gold stars, the Navy and
Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine
Corps Achievement Medal.
