Eric Nelson, president of Quantico’s Montford Point Marine Association, Chapter 32, speaks about the late Cpl. Julius B. Foxx Jr. an original Montford Point Marine, during Friday’s ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Foxx was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his service. His daughters accepted the award from U.S. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) on their late father’s behalf.
