Victor Melendez, of the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, gives a purple ribbon to an attendee before the memorial service hosted March 15 in honor of Crystal Hamilton, 29, which was held at the Quantico Marine Memorial Chapel. Hamilton was killed Feb. 27 during a domestic dispute in Prince William County. The vigil was officiated by base Chaplain Commander Jeff Etheridge. Hamilton, a native of Charleston, South Carolina is survived by her 11-year-old son.
