Volunteers for Marine Corps Base Quantico’s Single Marine Program and various other organizations put together gift bags for the Holiday in the Barracks event at the Barber Physical Activity Center on MCB Quantico, Virginia, Dec. 13, 2024. The SMP coordinated and worked with various organizations across MCB Quantico, including the Red Cross, to deliver holiday cheer to service members who could not make it home for the holidays. The Holiday in the Barracks event was hosted at the Main Side Recreation Center, where attendees received gifts, warm food, and a decorated space to connect with others who remained behind during the holiday season. Bluebell flowers only bloom for a few weeks in the early springtime, which marks part of the significance of the festival.
