MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. -- Official Message from Col. William Bentley,
MCINCR-MCBQ Commanding Officer
Child Development Center (CDC) North has been closed over the past week as we work to ensure a safe and secure facility. I recognize the impact to our families, and want to assure you that we are aggressively working to reopen CDC North. We take the health and safety of the children and employees as our highest priority.
I have directed MCCS to take additional measures to ensure we prevent future issues at both CDCs. We are conducting inspections well-beyond the minimum required, to ensure the safety of our Marine Families. I have also directed that all of the information we receive about the CDC operating status is immediately released via our multiple social media pages, MCBQ web page and MCCS sites. Once medical personnel have cleared CDC North, we will re-open and look forward to providing you quality service.
I appreciate your concern and ensuring we are doing everything to care for you and your children. Please continue to remain vigilant and keep up the open lines of communication.
