By shutting down most of the building’s climate control on weekends, including nine of the 11 air handlers and one of the chillers, while reducing the other chiller to 30 percent power, the facility was able to reduce its weekend energy consumption by more than 30 percent during the Power-Down Weekend pilot last summer. More than 300 military fathers and daughters took to the dance floor and had a great night during the Children Youth and Teen Program’s Father and Daughter Dance at The Clubs At Quantico and Crossroads Events Center on Feb. 7, 2014.
