We have a responsibility to our Institution. We will accomplish this by supporting the training and readiness of the 3,400 Marines attached to MCB Quantico, Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Marine Corps Systems Command, Training and Education Command, and a number of other organizations and other tenant activities. We will identify what training is required and ensure we afford each Marine the opportunity to accomplish that training. We will strive to maintain medical and dental readiness to ensure each Marine is ready to deploy at a moment’s notice in support of any mission assigned to us or to an individual Marine.
We are responsible to our Marines and our Civilians. We will accomplish this by providing responsive and timely administrative and logistical support – ensuring they are physically, mentally, professionally, and emotionally ready at a moment’s notice. Further, our Institution requires us to trust each other and to work together towards common goals. Collectively, we will treat each Marine and Civilian with dignity and respect, never leave anyone behind, and build each other up to bring out the full potential of each individual. We will ensure everyone feels free to make suggestions and voice complaints. It is incumbent upon us all that we provide competent leadership, and the actions of this leadership remain just and ethical.
We are responsible to the families of our Marines. Through the Battalion Family Readiness Officer and Marine Corps Community Services Officer, we will strive to support the Marine and his/her family members to ensure each Marine feels secure in the knowledge that resources are available to them and for their families. We will do our best to ensure Our Marines know we will remain mindful of ways to help them fulfill their family responsibilities.
We are responsible to our Community in which we live and work. To do this, we must remain good citizens by supporting good works and charities. Our Single Marine Program, Marine Corps Community Services, Spouse Programs and Combined Federal Campaign are just a few of the many ways we will do that. We will encourage civic action which serves to enrich the lives of our Marines, Civilians, and their families and, further serves to reflect honorably on our Institution.
