If you are looking for a another place to eat aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, look no further than Medal of Honor Golf Course's Mulligan's Bar & Grill.

In true Mulligan’s fashion, Medal of Honor Golf Course says, "Let's try that again," as the popular eatery and meeting place reopened June 12 with a fresh new look and feel to it after four months of renovations.

"If you are looking for a relaxing top-notch place to eat food, watch television or take in beautiful scenery, Mulligan's Bar & Grill is the place to be," said CWO3 Dan Esping, deputy, Marine Corps Community Services Business Operations.

Patrons playing the Medal of Honor Golf Course may now call ahead to place their orders with Mulligan’s before making the turn at the iconic Par 3, Hole 9. On Saturdays and Sundays the course will also offer the convenience of placing orders with the beverage cart driver.

Mulligan's now has ample seating both inside and outside for patrons to enjoy a peaceful meal with iconic scenery overlooking the course.

The foyer and dining area were completely renovated with new carpet, wallpaper and wood-slatted blinds to achieve a modern and natural appearance.

With the renovations, the dining area has become the proverbial 19th green as patrons are welcome to enjoy a relaxing drink before or after they set out onto the course.

Replacements to the bar include new furnishings, pendant lights, televisions and a bar attachment for those with disabilities.

Where some might miss the views of the inside of Mulligan's kitchen, a wall with a pick-up/order window has now been placed within the newly renovated bar and grill so patrons may enjoy the peaceful ambiance of bar and grill style dining without a view of the kitchen.

A convenient, digital menu board was also added above the new order window.

Also, if patrons are in a hurry they can pick up food from the window or grab a beverage from the bar side refrigerator before heading back on the course or back to work.

Medal of Honor Golf Course not only gave Mulligan's a fresh new look, but the menus and marketing were remastered to include new graphics and color schemes. Calorie intake was also added to the menu.

The renovations to Mulligan’s were part of a project to reimage the entire clubhouse including the pro shop, locker rooms, foyer and hallways.

More renovations are expected to the clubhouse as a 700-square- foot conference space will be added to the facility for Professional Military Education and meetings, which can be subdivided into two smaller meeting rooms. They also plan to add an electronic price board in the pro shop along with grab-n-go food and coffee options.
