Elise Van Pool Marine Corps Base Quantico PRINT SHARE Marine Corps Base Quantico -- Quantico hosted its fourth annual National Night Out on Aug. 4. The National Night Out is a community oriented initiative that is currently in its 32nd year nationally. The event took place on Purvis Loop in front of the Lincoln Military Housing office. There were static displays of police, fire and Air Rescue Fire Fighter from Quantico Marine Corps Air Facility. “The purpose of the NNO is to showcase the installation’s emergency services to the public and provide maximum interaction between first responders and the residents of Quantico,” said Capt. Justin Grieco, operations officer for Security Battalion. Families had the opportunity to see demonstrations by military working dogs and try on police and fire gear.
