MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. -- To facilitate various repairs, it is sometimes necessary to have planned power and water outages. The following is a list of upcoming outages. Plan or adjust accordingly.
Remember: do not open your refrigerator or freezer during a power outage. The items inside will remain cool or frozen. If you need refrigerated items, take them out and put them on ice prior to the outage.
Electricty outages
• 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 13
Areas Affected: Family Housing (McHugh Woods, Masters Hill, Neville Heights, Quarters 1 and Waller Hill), mainside Fire Station, B2004, Marine Mart, Firestone, NREA and the temporary trailers adjacent to Marine Mart. • 8-10 a.m., Sept. 14
Areas Affected: B3252. Outage is required to reconnect meter
ISO basewide AMI project. The

• 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 20
Areas Affected: B2043 (Building will run on temporary power). Outage is required to install new switch gear for the building as part of the ongoing renovation project. The point of contact is Scott Hall at 571-436-4182.
• 5-9 p.m., Sept. 24
Areas Affected: B3259 (Clinic). Outage is required to transfer power to new substation. The point of contact is Dave Cotton at 571-436-0373.
• 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 27
Areas Affected: B2043 (Building will run on temporary power). Outage is required to install the new switch gear for the building as part of the ongoing renovation project. The point of contact is Scott Hall at 571-436-4182.
• 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 27
Areas Affected: B2133 and B2134 (MCAF Hangars) and B3255 (Newlin Hall). Outage is required to transfer power to new substation. The

Areas Affected: B2033 and B2033B (Hochmuth Hall and Hochmuth Hall Annex). Outage is required to transfer power to new substation. The

• 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 4
Areas Affected: OCS, Raids and Recon, most of MCAF, Hospital Point, MCU, MSTP, SNCOA, O-Club, Cross Roads Inn, Liversedge Hall and nearly all facilities from Chop Annex to Geiger Hall. Family Housing affected includes Geiger Ridge, Waller Hill, GOQ-1, Neville Heights, Masters Hill, McHugh Woods. Outage is required to install new Stadium Substation. • 5-6 p.m., Oct. 10
Areas Affected: B3252, B2074 (BEQ, Pruitt Hall), B2080 (Auto Hobby Shop) and Argonne Hills. Outage is required to install new Stadium Substation. The point of contact is Dave Cotton at 571-436-0373.
• 5-6 p.m., Oct. 24
Areas Affected: No buildings affected but support from FMS high voltage crew is required. Outage is required to install new Stadium Substation. The point of contact is Dave Cotton at 571-436-0373.
Water outages

Areas Affected: B3044. Outage
is required to install cut-off valves
to isolate building restroom for future maintenance and repair. The point
