The renovation will provide additional check- in windows for the pharmacy staff to better serve you with a central focus to enhance your customer experience. Over the course of the four month renovation, the current four windows will be converted into six windows while adding critical additional space to the pharmacy floor plan. These changes will allow the pharmacy team to serve you in a more timely fashion while continuing to focus on safety and high quality care with a long-term goal of decreasing your wait time. However, during the renovation we ask for your patience. You might experience a longer than normal wait time due to the temporary displacement of staff. Additionally, if you are dropping off a paper prescription from a non-DoD facility, it will be accepted for next day pickup only. We do encourage you to discuss with your provider to have your prescriptions electronically sent to the clinic. The team will allow patients to wait in the facility for prescriptions from DoD facilities or e-prescribed prescriptions from civilian providers, although we encourage you to check- in and then return for your prescriptions either later the same day or the next day. You will still have the option of being contacted via text message when your prescription is ready. The Pharmacy Department is excited to announce the piloting of two new pharmacy check-in options. Patients will be able to call the pharmacy directly to activate their new prescriptions (703-784-1580, option three) or contact the pharmacy via a RelayHealth message. This will alleviate the burden of waiting to check-in at the pharmacy and you will be conveniently contacted via text message when your prescriptions are ready for pickup. Of particular note during this time, all refills called in through the National Capital Region refill line will be available at an alternate pickup location on base. There will be a drive-thru refill pickup trailer located adjacent to the Mini-MCX located at 3048 Bordelon St. (reference above map). The product of the renovation will rejuvenate and enhance the pharmacy experience at NHCQ. The pharmacy and the NHCQ team will do everything possible to maintain a positive patient experience for you throughout the entire renovation process. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our facility to better meet your requirements and medical needs. Tags NHCQ
