COVID-19 Information and Resources

Marine Corps Base Quantico continues to provide mission critical support to our Marines, commands, civilians and families, while actively implementing preventative measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

We remain vigilant for any new developments, and will continue to provide timely updates while still executing our mission to the utmost of our ability.

It is important during this time for personnel to contact their chain of command for specific guidance on establishing essential vs non-essential workforce, telework options and leave policies. For more information and guidance refer to the following order.

  • DEERS/ID Card Center is operating by APPOINTMENTS ONLY, walk-ins considered only on a case-by-case basis. For complete updated information, visit the DEERS/ID Card Center here. Schedule appointments at: (https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil).

  • Qualified Recycling Program (Bldg 3185):  QRP will be open M-F from 0630 to 1200.  All activities are by appointment only; no walk-ins can be accommodated at this time.  Call (703) 432-6295 or emailMarilisa.porter@usmc.mil / Keysia.linder@usmc.mil to schedule.

  • Effective 3 April 2020, Gate 4 (Commissary gate) and Gate 6(TBS/Garrisonville Gate) will be closed at 2100 vice 2200, they will reopen again at 0500.

  • Effective 3 April 2020, the hours at the Visitor Control Center (VCC) are modified to 0600 to 1400, Monday through Friday only

  • Effective Monday 23 March 2020: Security Battalion/PMO will reduce available customer services, and will only provide certain services on a limited bases until further notice. Below is a summary of the changes *Vehicle/Pet/Weapon Registration - Services temporarily suspended.

  • *Role Player Threat Screening - Services temporarily suspended.

    *Contractor Vetting - Services conducted digitally only.

    *Background Investigations / Local Records Checks - Services available at Bldg. 2043 from 08:00-15:00 on Tuesdays only (Required background investigations or local records checks may be initiated calling 703-784-4423 or 703-432-6379 at any time during normal work week) *FOIA Requests - Services available at Bldg. 2043 from 08:00-15:00 on Wednesdays only (FOIA Requests may be initiated by calling 703-784-4423 or 703-432-6379 at any time during normal work week).

    *Fingerprinting - Services available at Bldg. 2043 from 08:00-15:00 on Wednesdays only.

    *Physical Security / CAC and Card swipe access enabling - Services available at Bldg. 2043 from 08:00-15:00 on Wednesdays only.

    These changes do NOT effect the security, access control, or law enforcement operations aboard the Base.

    Commercial Vehicle Inspections will continue as scheduled at the CVI lot.

    Visitor Control Center hours of operations can be found on the Base Access page. Personnel are encouraged to pre-enroll in DBIDS

  • Food and Grocery delivery services
    Effective 7 April 2020, Food and Grocery delivery services are allowed aboard MCBQ provided the delivery driver has a valid credential, CAC/TESLIN, DBIDS card, or Temporary Pass issued by the Visitor Control Center.  Delivery drivers and services are reminded that they can get the authorized credentials or a temporary pass at the Visitor Control Center from 0600-1400 Monday through Friday for base access.  Deliveries and Services will not be allowed base access without the approved vetting and credentials for access.

  • National Museum of the Marine Corps including their chapel and Semper Fi Park – CLOSED

  • MCBQ Chapel is conducting limited worship services.

  • Naval Health Clinic Quantico: Open normal hours with screening in place. Dental will be re-scheduling routing appointments. Dental clinic will contact patients.

  • Fort Belvoir Community Hospital: Open

  • Base Motorcycle Safety Courses - limited to classes of 10. Register on ESAMS

  • CommStrat Photo Studio only providing promotion photos by appointment only. 703-784-2704 for information

  • MCBQ VRE shuttle is NOT operating

  • Quantico Shooting Club - matches and recreational fire for April canceled.

  • USO Quantico –CLOSED

  •  Base Veterinary Treatment Facility – PCS preparation appointments, Health Certificates for confirmed moves, and sick calls that are actively being treated at the veterinary clinic will be prioritized. Annual wellness examinations and new sick calls are encouraged to schedule  appointments with off-post veterinary clinics. If you need a prescription refill, please leave a message, and we will contact you with a good date/time to pick it up. Please allow us  24-48 hours to respond to your messages.
        Open M, T & W 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  closed for lunch noon - 1 p.m.

  • Navy Marine Corps Relief Society - Starting April 6, the NMCRS Quantico office will be open by appointment only.
    Clients need to call 703-784-9754 and leave a message. Calls will be returned and appointments made according to priority.

  • LSSS Defense Services Organization - defense attorney counseling will only be conducted by phone.
     Counseling hours remain Tuesdays and Thursdays 1300-1500 on first come, first served basis by calling 703-784-7781 or 703-784-4615.  The waiting room will be closed until further notice.
