Naval Health Clinic Quantico -- Naval Health Clinic Quantico recently improved and expanded its services to all active duty and their family members. The clinic is enrolling everyone within 30 minutes of the clinic and has recently added new providers and staffing to increase appointments, making it easier for families to be seen for their health care needs.
“With the overseas deployment requirement for our NHCQ staff decreasing, we can now bring back to the Navy medicine family those patients we had to refer out,” said Capt. Robert B. Alonso, executive officer, Naval Health Clinic Quantico. “We look forward to providing world class health care to all our beneficiaries in the Quantico area.”
Naval Health Clinic is a one-stop medical facility. Patients are able to see a provider, get X-rays, labs and medication without leaving the building. The clinic’s pharmacy has also improved services and now allows patients to come in, drop off prescriptions, and either wait or come back later to pick up their medication at the drive thru window.
“We now have fully staffed Medical Home Port teams and we are expanding our specialty care,” said Lt. Wilfredo L. Lucas, department head, Health Care Business, NHCQ. “Because of this, we are inviting active duty family members to enroll at the clinic.”
To make enrolling easier, the clinic is sending out an invitation to all family members within a 30-minute drive time who are currently not enrolled at the clinic. Along with the invitation, TRICARE prime beneficiaries will receive a prepaid postcard to fill out and send back indicating whether they wish to enroll in the clinic or prefer to remain with their network provider. Beneficiaries are asked to respond by Nov. 1.
