Everybody knows that traffic in and around Washington, D.C. is a headache.  So, why not commute to the base on the Virginia Railway Express (VRE), which has a stop right aboard Quantico?  You may wonder “What do I do once I get to base?”  Don’t worry, Marine Corps Base Quantico’s (MCBQ) Transportation Support Branch (TSB) makes getting to work from the train station a snap and it’s a free service.

TSB provides this community service aboard base, transporting Marines and civilians from the VRE station to various work locations.  This service is provided Monday – Friday and is used by hundreds of commuters.  In addition to providing convenience to commuters, the service also reduces traffic congestion aboard base and reduces the individual’s commuter cost. The shuttle pickup/drop-off times coincide with the scheduled times that the VRE travels.

to see the full schedule for the shuttle, including times, pickup and drop-off locations.

There are three shuttle routes that service the east side of the base that also travel to the west side of MCBQ.  This service is scheduled in the morning starting as early as 5:20 a.m. and runs through to the evening with the last bus/van at 6:17 p.m.  In addition to convenience and cost savings, the skills of our motor transport operators ensure that patrons get to their destination in a safe and timely manner.

The TSB is continuously tasked to provide safe, economical, efficient and responsive services in support of our military and civilian employees.  We continue to improve our services to ensure the safety of everyone is paramount and our services will continue in order to support all those that work here at Marine Corps Base Quantico.
